After more than 11 years, last Friday was my final day working for Providence St. Joseph Health. During my time at Providence I developed new skills and built fantastic relationships. In a few weeks, I will begin working for Kaiser Permanente based out of (typically sunny, but rainy now that I’m relocating from Portland) southern California.
Making this change wasn’t something I took lightly, but I’m truly excited about it. I’m also thankful for what I learned at Providence, including the tradition of offering reflections to keep grounded.
As I said goodbye to colleagues last week and get prepared to start on my new journey, this quote that I’ve used often for reflections came to mind:
"Every day is a journey, and the journey itself is home."
